Antioxidant, added to the food antioxidant effect of 3-BHA is 1.5-2 times stronger than 2-BHA, but the mixture of the two has a certain synergistic effect, so the mixture containing a high proportion of 3-BHA, its effectiveness is almost similar to that of pure 3-BHA. BHA can act with the peroxide produced by the oxidation process of fats and oils, so that the chain reaction of automatic oxidation of fats and oils is cut off, preventing the continued oxidation of fats and oils. BHA mixed with other antioxidants and synergists such as citric acid, its antioxidant effect is more significant. In addition to the antioxidant effect, BHA also has a strong antibacterial power, with anti-mold effect.
